Install & setup

Install Frenemy

Frenemy runs at the edge of your own site, in about five minutes. You connect your account (or paste a small key) and the wizard walks every step with copy buttons — it names the exact button to click. It runs in your infrastructure, not ours: your site never depends on us to serve a request.

On something else? Frenemy needs to see your traffic, which today means Cloudflare (in front of any stack), Next.js on Vercel, or WordPress. Sign up and we’ll add you to the list for your platform — or email support@frenemy.dev and tell us what you run.

How installing works — on every platform

  1. Connect. Approve Frenemy on your host’s own screen, merge one pull request, or install a plugin — depending on your platform. No passwords ever come to us.
  2. Verify. Frenemy sends a single test request to your site and confirms events are arriving. You’ll see the connection flip to Connected.
  3. Watch. Every automated visitor is verified, classified, and counted from that moment. Enforcement stays off until you deliberately turn it on — later, and with us.
Runs in your infrastructure. Not a dependency of your site.Fails open. If Frenemy ever has a problem, your visitors are served as normal.One-switch off. Everything Frenemy does turns off in seconds — no ticket, no waiting.
